What DaySlice is

Some evenings you can't remember what you actually did with the day. DaySlice is for keeping that in colour. Tap once and a record starts, tap again and it stops. Do that a few times and a 24-hour bar fills in behind you.

  • One tap to record

Start and stop with a single tap. Starting a new category ends the previous one automatically

  • 24-hour bar and ring

See at a glance how much of today is captured

  • Lock Screen and widget

Elapsed time on the Lock Screen, in the Dynamic Island, and on your Home Screen

  • Calendar and stats

Look back by day, week or month, with totals and shares per category

  • iCloud sync

Stored only in your own iCloud. Nothing is sent to any other server

  • CSV export

Take your records with you any time

Common questions

→ I forgot to stop a record

It closes itself at 24 hours, so you never wake up to eighteen hours of work still running. Fix the end time afterwards by tapping the record in the calendar.

→ The Lock Screen timer disappeared

iOS ends every Live Activity eight hours after it starts (the record itself keeps running). Opening the app brings it back. If it still does not appear, check iOS Settings → Apps → DaySlice → Live Activities is on.

→ How does iCloud sync work?

If you are signed in to iCloud, your records sync automatically. There is no on/off switch. Any iPhone or iPad on the same Apple Account sees the same records. If syncing fails, a red notice appears on the Settings tab.

→ What happens to past records if I delete a category?

The records stay. Records from a deleted category show as "(deleted)" in the stats.

→ Can I add or fix records afterwards?

Yes. Tap an empty slot in the calendar, or the "+" at the top right, to add a past record. Tap any record to edit its times or note.

→ I want to erase everything

Settings → "Delete all data" removes every record and category from the device and from iCloud. This cannot be undone.
