DaySlice Privacy Policy

Last updated: 8 September 2026

DaySlice ("the app") is built privacy-first. The app collects no personal data and never sends your data to the developer or any third party.

1. Information collected

The app collects no personal data whatsoever — no name, email address, location, device identifier or advertising identifier. It contains no third-party SDKs for analytics or crash reporting.

2. What the app stores, and where

  • → Your records (category name, emoji and colour, start and end times, notes) are stored only on your device and in your own iCloud account (CloudKit private database).
  • → Data in iCloud is protected by your Apple Account. Neither the developer nor any third party can access it.
  • → To drive the Lock Screen and widget, the running record’s category name and start time are kept in the app’s local App Group storage. This never leaves the device.

3. How the data is used

Your records are used only to draw the app’s own screens (timeline, stats, widget, Live Activity) and for the CSV export you trigger yourself.

4. Sharing with third parties

Your data is never provided, sold or shared with third parties. iCloud sync is provided by Apple and is subject to Apple’s privacy policy.

5. Deleting your data

Settings → "Delete all data" removes every record and category from the device and from iCloud. Uninstalling the app may leave data in iCloud; you can remove it from iOS Settings → Apple Account → iCloud → Saved to iCloud.

6. Children’s privacy

The app is not directed at any particular age group and collects no personal data from anyone.

7. Changes to this policy
